While I am not exactly a “festival” person, SXSW is definitely one such fair I have always wanted to go to so I could not be more excited to announce that not only am I finally going to be at SXSW next year, but I have the honor of moderating a panel with Supermodel and Maternal Health Advocate, Christy Turlington-Burns and her amazing organization, Every Mother Counts.
What exactly is South by Southwest (SXSW)? Well, according to their Wikipedia page, the festival is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.
It began in 1987, and has continued to grow. Last year, the conference lasted for 10 days with SXSW Interactive lasting for five days, music for seven days and film running concurrently for nine days.
