SXSW is something that I always wanted to go to, so I could not be more excited that not only am I going to be at SXSW 2019, but I will be moderating a panel with Supermodel and Maternal Health Advocate, Christy Turlington-Burns and her amazing organization, Every Mother Counts.
What exactly is South by Southwest (SXSW)? Well, according to their Wikipedia page, the festival is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences in Austin, Texas.
It began in 1987 and has only grown over the years. In 2018, the conference lasted for 10 days with SXSW Interactive lasting for five days, music for seven days and film running concurrently for nine days.
You can read more about the panel I’ll be moderating at SXSW, “Giving Birth In America,” here.
And if you’ll be in Austin, make sure to swing by!
