So much controversy has erupted over Gloria Steinem and fmr. Secretary of State, Madeline Albright’s apparent chiding of younger women voters that personally, I am annoyed by the story.
And that is exactly what I said when I went on CNN with Democratic strategist, Hillary Rosen.
Although the clip shows the part of the segment during which I point out how young women don’t have to vote for Hillary Clinton just because she is a woman, my earlier emphasis was on how there’s really no story here.
Steinem explained her misconstrued statements, and her generation of feminists know better than anyone the power of the young women vote. Younger women will vote at the end of the day based on policies, not gender.
Isn’t choice after all the bottom line for the women’s movement?

Thank you for making this point. While it would certainly be something to have a female president, the policies that will shape the country’s future are far more significant.
