For the second time in just over a month, a blogger has been hacked to death on the streets of Dhaka in Bangladesh. The death of Washiqur Rahman sent a chilling message to Bangladeshis that the days of thinking and writing freely in our country are numbered.

Rahman’s death comes just five weeks after American writer Avijit Roy was also butchered in public alongside his wife while the both of them were at a book fair in the city.

I went on HuffPost Live‘s World Brief to discuss what the murders mean, who is behind them and why freedom of speech is being targeted in Bangladesh.

Watch the full show here and tell what you think. Is Bangladesh becoming the next Pakistan?
