On CNN talking campus sexual assault & the Dartmouth alcohol ban.

There is no denying that campus sexual assault in the US are currently at epidemic levels. But from banning fraternities to banning sorority sisters from venturing to parties to banning alcohol, why are the nation’s top colleges and universities, from the University of Virginia (UVA) to Dartmouth, struggling to find a solid solution?

I gave my thoughts on the issue on CNN with Andrew Lohse, who has written a book about his own experience at Dartmouth as a fraternity brother, and is now a passionate advocate to ban Greek systems altogether.

I agree with many of his points, but my emphasis remains on ending rape culture, and asking ourselves why men, drunk or sober, want to rape women.

I cite a recent, shocking Newsweek survey that found 31.7% of college men even admit that they would rape if they knew they could get away with it.
